Behind the scenes everything in Exothermic is a node in a scene graph. when working in the viewport all of this is handled automatically.
Of course you are free to work directly in the scene graph and doing so opens the door to even more power.
In addition to controlling the flow of graphics data, the node graph can also connect parameters together to create powerful effects.
In this video connected parameters allow the arrow to always be pointing at the red ball. The length of the tail of the arrow is controlled by the distance to the ball. No scripting was required.
